PRAYER REQUEST LISTING

September 2010

  • Your prayers are felt each and every day in the prison and youth center. Our chaplains couldn’t do the work they do without the prayers of God’s faithful people. Thank you for taking the time to pray for our chaplains and the prisoners. Feel free to copy these requests and share them with others so more can join us in prayer.

  • PRAY FOR:

    • Z.H. young man recently incarcerated at Lancaster County Prison(LCP)., From a Christian family. Z. has made wrong choices. Pray that he will again find his peace with God.

    • C.P. male inmate at LCP who is visited regularly by a friend from his church, who also teaches a Bible class at LCP.

    • D.W. LCP inmate for almost 1 year. Recently made a new commitment to following God and living a life of purpose and purity.

    • L, young man recently released from LCP and now living at a local aftercare facility. Pray that his faith in God will continue to grow, that he could find employment and learn about discipleship in the program.

    • B. H released from Youth Intervention Center, but with court ordered supervision. Pray that he can adjust to home life and a new school to attend. Pray that he will decide to fully follow Jesus.

    • W.M. middle aged man who came through LCP and is now serving a state prison sentence.. W. recently wrote, asking for literature and stating that “his faith is intact, but he gets discouraged and sometimes feels like quitting”.

The annual prison benefit auction to be held October 22 – 23 in Farmersville. Pray for all the staff and volunteers that work hard in organizing, getting merchandise together, and setting up this event. Pray that this year’s financial goal of $90,000 (after expenses) can be met by generous buyers. Proceeds are distributed to seven prison and aftercare ministries.

    A promise from God:
"Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful." Colossians 2:4
