PRAYER REQUEST LISTING

August 2008
Your prayers are felt each and every day in the prison and youth center. Our chaplains couldn’t do the work they do without the prayers of God’s faithful people. Thank you for taking the time to pray for our chaplains and the prisoners. Feel free to copy these requests and share them with others so more can join us in prayer.

PRAY FOR:

  • J.N., a middle aged man in Lancaster County Prison (LCP). Pray that the visits from his pastor and the concerns of his family will help him to follow God in the future.

  • J.S., a young man in LCP on assault charges. Pray that the seeds sown in his life in the past will help him to receive God’s love and forgiveness.

  • O.J., a man in LCP who recently re-committed his life to God during a study class.

  • S.H., a middle aged man hoping to soon be released from prison, after numerous years in county and state facilities. Pray the S.H.’s new found faith in Christ and the help received from drug and alcohol counseling would make a difference in his life when he is released.

  • Pray for Junior and Diana Oriol, Directors of Freedom Gate Ministries in Reading, PA. They have many responsibilities in their re-entry and discipleship house ministries to ex-inmates. Recently, their daughter has made some bad choices and walked away from home and God. Jr. emailed, “Our hearts are heavy for our daughter but not without hope. We believe the Lord will bring her to Himself. We never want to give up on her. Thank you all for your prayers.”

  • Pray for staff and volunteers as they work hard in preparation for the annual Prison Ministries Benefit Auction. This year will be the 25th annual auction and will be held at Farmersville on October 24 & 25. Pray that local businesses will be generous in giving quality merchandise and valuable gift certificates to sell.

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

James 5:16b

YOUR PRAYERS ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE. THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS!
