OTHER MINISTRIES & LINKS LANCASTER COUNTY PRISON - Eight paid chaplains and 13 regular volunteer chaplains on staff that do bible studies, counseling and distribution of Christian literature to about 1200 inmates. Annually, over 2800 Bible correspondence courses are completed. About 25 churches do regular worship services in various units of the prison. Ministry also happens to the staff and correction officers in the prison. LANCASTER COUNTY YOUTH INTERVENTION CENTER - Houses young persons, ranging from ages 10-17, until their court hearings. Three part-time Chaplains do counseling, group Bible studies and arrange for churches to conduct regular worship service and Christian activities for the young residents. EXIT (Ex-Offenders in Transition) - Ministers and provides help to ex-offenders and their families with meetings each Thursday evening at Lord's House of Prayer 133 E. Vine Street in Lancaster. A helpful program of Bible study, worship, prayer, plus assistance in returning to community, led by several Prison Chaplains and local church members. FREEDOM GATE - Reading, PA. Provides aftercare in a halfway home for men released from prison. Staff teaches in Berks County Prison, do personal and family counseling and help with job placement assistance. Freedom Gate networks with Teen Challenge Training Center. TRANSITION TO COMMUNITY - Office at 39 W. Vine Street, Lancaster. A Training and aftercare ministry to help inmates prepare for release and then provide a network of aftercare services to inmates and their families. Their goal is to have successful re-entry of inmates into communities. WE CARE PROGRAMS - Ministering God's love to prisoners for the past 30+ years from their base in Atmore, AL. They provide chaplains to state correctional facilities. They sponsor faith based dorms and have extensive teaching and educational programs. They conduct an annual prison crusade in January of each year in a dozen or more prisons, with over 300 volunteers involved from many states. THE POTTERS
